On our way to Phillip Island to see the penguin parade, we stopped by this Caldermeade farm on the South Gippsland highway to take a break and to explore and see what's in store for us.
A wishing well next to the entrance of the farm and cafe and the weather was cold on that day, strong wintry winds.
From this barn, we can watch how the cows are being milked but being year end, the place is closed for the festive season.
This is the machine that is being used to milk the cows.
This is some interesting information regarding the farm cow's circle of life.
We enjoyed the cool fresh clean air, had some freshly made scones served with home made jam, cream, hot coffee and tea before proceeding on with our journey.
Hi Cheah, are you back from vacation already? Thanks again for taking us along the trip. Enjoy those lovely picturesof yours. Hope you're having a great day.

Oh wow the scones look divine. Looks like an interesting place to visit. Will keep in mind to drop by the next time we go to Phillip island. =)
ReplyDeletePhillip Island, how I miss the penguins. Went there last June, the little birds looked simply adorable... :) I am impressed with how they waited for their comrades to come onshore before heading home!! :) Hehe...
ReplyDeleteGlad you moved away from the city and into country Gippsland. It is a beautiful place isn't it?

Oh yes, they were so cute, but as it was dark it was quite difficult to spot them at the beginning.
